Fudgy Chocolate Cookie Bars
1 3/4 cup unsifted flour
3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 cup butter(or margerine)
1- 12oz package Chocolate Chips --DIVIDED bag!
1- 14oz can Sweetened Condensed Milk (not evaporated milk!)
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts(Optional)
Preheat oven to 350. In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar and cocoa. Cut in butter or margerine until crumbly(Mixture will be dry).
Press firmly into a 13x9 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, using a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt one cup chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Pour evening over prepared crust.
Top with nuts, if using, and then chocolate chips, pressing this firmly.
Bake 20 minutes, or until set.
Cool and cut into squares |
