Mississippi Mud Pie
1 chocolate crumb crust(9 inch)
6 Tablespoons Baking Cocoa + 2 Tablespoons melted Crisco
3/4 cup toasted pecans
4 oz.(1/2 pkg) cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
2 Tablespoons Milk
8 oz. Cool Whip or Stablized whipped cream


Pre-toast Pecans and cool. Combine 6 Tablespoons Cocoa + 2 Tablespoons melted Crisco, and add to 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk. Pour into crust. Stir toasted pecans into chocolate mixture. Beat cream cheese, sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa and milk. Add 1/2 of cool whip (or whipped cream).
Spread this mixture over the pecan/chocolate mixture. Top with remaining Cool Whip(or Whipped Cream) Top with chocolate curls, or mini chocolate chips. Refrigerate 4 hours.
**Toasted Pecans:
Oven at 375 degrees
Spread pecans on cookie sheet for 3-5 minutes.
