Witch Cakes
FOR THE BASE -:

6 oz margarine
6 oz castor sugar
3 egg's
5 oz plain flour
1 pkt vanilla flav corn flour
1/2 teaspoon baking poweder
1 teaspoon milk

FOR THE HEADS -:

4 oz sieved cake crumbs (see stage 5)
1 oz castor sugar
1 oz ground almonds
a little jam
chocolate vermicelli or sprinkles

BUTTER ICING -:

3 oz butter
4 oz sieved icing sugar

HATS -:

6 to 8 ice cream cones

Cream margarine and sugar until light and creamy.Beat in egg's singly. Fold in sieved flour, cornflour and baking powder and mix in milk. place the mix into 18 to 20 patty pans and bake 15 to 20 min's in a mod oven and leave to cool. Sieve 6 to 8 cakes to make 4 oz cake crumbs. Mix some melted jam to form a firm dough like mix and form into 6 to 8 balls. Brush with a little jam and roll in the chocolate vermicelli or sprinkles. Spread butter icing on each cake base and place the 'head' on top. Pipe a fine line of butter icing around the top of the 'heads' and press the ice cream cones into position to form hats.

BUTTER ICEING -:

Mix butter and icing sugar together well then spread.
