Golden Syrup Dumplings DUMPLINGS MIX 1 cup self raising flour 1 egg 1 tablespoon butter milk to mix pinch of salt SYRUP MIX 1 1/4 cups of water 1/2 cup sugar 1 tablespoon golden syrup 1 tablespoon butter DUMPLING MIX -: Sift flour and salt. Rub in butter and mix to a light dough with beaten egg and a little milk. Break into walnut size pieces and shape into dumplings. SYRUP MIX -: Put all syrup ingrediants into a saucepan and bring to the boil,drop in the dumplings cover saucepan with lid and cook at a light simmer for about 15 min's Makes about 12 Serve hot with left over syrup and cream.
